Finding Frankie is a dark-themed obstacle course game where players take part in a twisted competition disguised as a cheerful parkour show. After receiving a mysterious invitation from a cereal box, you’re transported into a strange environment filled with unsettling mascots, unpredictable hazards, and deadly traps. Though the visuals initially suggest a cartoonish world, the tone quickly shifts as players uncover that the characters and challenges are far more dangerous than they appear. What begins as a game show becomes a tense battle for survival.

Deadly races and unpredictable opponents

At its core, Finding Frankie is a competitive parkour experience. Players race against two other participants, navigating complex obstacle courses full of traps, moving platforms, and timed events. Movement includes sliding, climbing, wall-running, and bouncing off trampolines—all of which must be mastered to progress. The real danger, however, lies in the other characters who inhabit the world: Frankie, Henry Hotline, and others who patrol the courses, ready to eliminate anyone who falls behind or makes too much noise. Victory isn’t just about speed—it’s about staying out of sight and staying alive.

Exploration, quiet moments, and the helper duck

In between high-pressure races, the game allows for quieter segments where players can explore areas like the underbelly of the parkour palace—narrow vents, hidden halls, and shadowed maintenance zones. During these moments, you’re accompanied by the Duck Assistant, a helpful companion who offers both emotional support and practical skills. This small character can light up dark spaces, scan the environment, and offer guidance in tense situations. These calm moments break up the intensity, allowing for breathing room and a bit of charm amidst the horror.

World design and hidden layers

The setting of Finding Frankie is designed like a decaying theme park built for parkour. Some sections resemble trampoline arenas, others are built like industrial mazes. Each area hides optional paths and secrets that reward exploration, but often at great risk. Audio cues, flickering lights, and background details add to the unease, suggesting that the world is more than just a game set. You’re being watched, measured, and tested—and escaping may not be as simple as winning the race.
