Man Or Monster is an action game that puts players in control of either a military unit or a giant creature attacking a city. The game offers two distinct playstyles depending on which side you choose. As the man, you fight to protect cities from destruction by using weapons, vehicles, and tactical tools. As the monster, your goal is to destroy everything in your path, using brute strength and special abilities. This dual gameplay structure gives the game replay value and variety.
When you play as the human side, your mission is to defend the city from the monster’s attack. You control a soldier who can run, jump, and shoot, and you also have access to helicopters, tanks, and turrets. These tools allow you to slow down the monster and reduce damage to key buildings. During each mission, you can rescue civilians, earn coins, and upgrade your equipment between levels. The city is your battlefield, and quick reactions are needed to keep it standing.
Choosing the monster role flips the game completely. Instead of saving people, you try to destroy the city as fast as possible. You stomp through streets, knock over towers, and unleash special moves that cause chaos. Different monsters have unique abilities that affect how you approach destruction. The faster you destroy the city and eliminate resistance, the higher your score.
Each level is set in a city environment that reacts to your actions. Buildings collapse, smoke rises, and background details shift as battles progress. The game uses a blocky, retro-inspired design that keeps visuals clear and gameplay smooth. As you move forward, levels become more challenging, with tougher enemies and stronger monsters or defenses depending on your role. Both modes offer progression paths, giving reasons to try both sides multiple times.
Man Or Monster blends two perspectives into one game, letting players decide how they want to interact with the world—by protecting it or destroying it. This choice-driven structure keeps gameplay fresh and creates a balance between strategy and action. Whether you enjoy precision-based combat or large-scale destruction, the game offers something on both ends of the spectrum.
